FAQs
The app is completely free to download and to try out with our 7-day free trial that unlocks full access to the Lumenate app. You can cancel the trial anytime at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid charges: How do I cancel?
If you enjoy and find value from the app, you can continue your journey with either a monthly or yearly subscription. The cost varies depending on your location / currency, so the easiest way to find out is to go to the app and find the paywall.
We’ve always strived to make the app as accessible as possible, so if you genuinely can’t afford please go to our article: Access for All
Please note:
Due to App Store limitations, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the free trial is due to convert to a subscription to make sure you aren’t charged (unfortunately this is decided by the App Store and not enforced by us here at Lumenate).
When you start our 7-day free trial of Lumenate, you will be asked to confirm your payment details and your trial will start. You will not be charged until after your free trial has ended.
Yes, to be clear, experiences are done with your eyes closed and phone facing them!
Safety is a huge priority for us here at Lumenate. We’ve worked alongside leading photosensitivity experts and our Medical Advisory Board to provide the best possible safety screening (during our onboarding) and provide the most accurate risk information we can. Any reports of side effects are reviewed by our Medical Board with any suggested changes to this information or to our wider product made. There will however always be risks for app use, especially relating to photosensitive conditions. These are outlined and explained to the latest understanding in the ‘Medical Risk Info’ in our settings page (and within the initial onboarding).
